Verdant Dry Gin (70 cl)
A classic London Dry Gin voted Scottish Gin of the Year at the Scottish Gin Awards 2017, Verdant Gin is distilled using the highest quality ingredients in Little Eddie, a 500 litre pot still.
The botanicals blended to make Verdant Gin were inspired by Dundee’s trading history and were chosen to reflect the routes once sailed by traders to and from the city.
The Verdant name itself is synonymous with Dundee’s jute and weaving industry.
Verdant Dry Gin is juniper led with fresh notes of citrus on the nose and palate with warm, earthy undertones of spice. Botanicals include coriander seeds, orris root, green cardamom, angelica and grains of paradise.
The perfect serve
Verdant Gin can be served neat, on the rocks, in a classic G&T or within a cocktail.
Meet the maker
Having worked for many years in Formula 1, Andrew Mackenzie gained a post-grad MSc in Food & Drink Innovation and went on to create the Verdant Spirit Co. Based in a former engine house of one of Dundee’s old mills, traditional methods are mixed with modern technology (a new generation 500-litre iStill) and serious attention to detail to create a luxurious dry gin - the first and only gin to be produced in the city of Dundee.
