McLean’s Something Clear Gin - Limited Edition (50 cl)
Something Clear Gin was created to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the founders of McLean's Gin; Colin & Jess.
With only 352 bottles ever being produced, Something Clear is McLean's first distilled gin and is also the first in their Collectors Edition series.
The recipe is loosely based on the Something Blue Gin (specially created for their wedding last year) with the addition of 3 further botanicals including hand-picked loquat leaf; the fruit of which Colin & Jess picked on the day of their engagement.
Something Clear is bottled at 50% ABV to reflect the equal partnership that marriage entails.
Beautifully presented complete with a paper wrap to mark their paper anniversary.

Tasted neat the gin is bold, fruity and floral with a sweetness not normally associated with a London Dry style gin. However, it really comes to life when mixed with tonic as fresh orange and blackcurrant flavours give way to violet, vanilla and fresh herbs with a hint of cardamom to finish.
The perfect serve
We think that Something Clear is best served over ice with a quality tonic and finished with fresh blackberries. However, it's versatile and should be enjoyed the way you want!
Meet the maker
McLean's Gin started life in 2017 in a 1.5m sq. living room cupboard aka the 'gin lab' in a one bedroom teneflat in the southside of Glasgow. Following the marriage of founders Colin & Jess McLean in June 2018, the gin is now being 'brought up' in Strathaven, a village around 25 miles south of Glasgow. McLean's Gins are made using a cold compounding process which has been used in the production of gin since the 17th century.
