Gin Tasting Events

Enjoy a journey through the world of Scottish gin with a private or corporate gin tasting event. Scottish gin is at the forefront of the current gin revolution with well over 200 different gins on the market and over 70% of the gin produced in the UK being made in Scotland.

At Craft56° we are passionate about Scottish products and have around 100 small batch gins from across the length and breadth of Scotland that you can choose from for your event.

We offer fully bespoke gin tastings which can be tailored to suit your needs based on what you’d like to offer your team, guests, customers or clients. We are flexible on location and happy to travel to your office or the venue of your choice throughout Scotland.

As with all aspects of the event, the content and structure are dictated by you but our experienced host will be able to talk you through a short history of gin, the gin scene in Scotland, the botanicals which give each gin their flavour profile as well as the stories behind the brands and the distilleries. All of this is delivered in an informative yet relaxed atmosphere.

Please get in touch with us on 0141 266 0028, email hello@craft56.co.uk or fill out the form below to start planning your event.

With such an array of gins on offer, we've included some ideas below on how you can select the gins to make your tasting just right for you.

Suggested Themes for Your Event

Style

There is huge variation in the different gins being produced in Scotland and we are able to put together an event based on the styles that would suit your guests.

If your guests are traditional G&T drinkers but you'd like to help them discover something new, we have a vast range of London Dry gins that pair well with tonic. With the huge variety of botanicals grown in different areas around Scotland, each gin has a different flavour profile.

We can also offer contemporary takes on the slightly sweeter Old Tom style which was popular in the 18th century before London Dry gins were available. The style has also seen a resurgence recently and can often be found as the base in gin cocktails.

You may choose to select some of the many flavoured gins we have available if your guests are not classic G&T drinkers. We have a range of pink gins, fruit flavoured gins, gins inspired by desserts (Cherry Bakewell, Rhubarb Crumble, Strawberries & Cream to name a few) and floral gins. There really is something for everyone.

We find that mixing styles works really well and helps people discover new drinks they may never have thought to try before!

Location

A popular theme for corporate gin tastings is the location of the brand and distillery.

From Solway to Shetland, Jura to Jedburgh and everywhere in between, we really do have gins from all corners of Scotland.

We can showcase the most local gins to your office or the venue or we could choose gins that reflect your different locations throughout Scotland.

Alternatively, if there are areas around Scotland that have special meaning to you or your guests, you may choose to select gins from these areas for your tasting.

The choice is yours but we guarantee we'll find the right ones for you!

Season

We can also tailor the gins to suit the time of the year that the tasting is taking place.

For example, for an event in spring or summer you may choose London Dry or citrus gins that are packed full of botanicals that remind you of enjoying a refreshing G&T in the garden. Pink gins and fruit flavoured gins also work really well in the summer months.

For events in autumn and winter, you may opt for more warming drinks such as spiced or flavoured gins which you can picture yourself enjoying in front of a warm fire! The spiced and flavoured gins also present a great opportunity to experiment trying gin with alternative mixers such as ginger ale.

What our customers say

Gravitate HR were delighted to have Craft56 co-host our annual evening seminar in November 2018. Our guests were put at ease in a relaxed setting, as Ally used his expert knowledge to introduce three Scottish craft gins and provide samples and recommended mixers. Ally was informative and engaging, not only on the mixing of the drinks side, but taking time to provide insight into the history of the gin-maker/distillery itself, to provide guests with a more personal touch to their drink. I would highly recommend Ally and Craft56 for any gin-related event, be it business functions, private events or social occasions.
