Biggar Gin (70 cl)
Location: Biggar, South Lanarkshire
Inspired by the town of Biggar at the foot of the Tinto Hills, this small batch Scottish gin has the 'Biggar Mentality'. Biggar Mentality is about a small scale, rare, batch philosophy that reflects a passion, ambition and taste which is big.
Made using a combination of traditional and locally handpicked botanicals, the Biggar Gin includes fresh orange peel, fresh lemon peel, rosehip, rowan berries, nettles and coriander.
Produced in batches of no more than 200 bottles at a time, all of which are individually numbered by hand giving the batch and bottle number.

On the nose Biggar Gin is mellow with a hint of hedgrows marrying with gentle spice. It is initially sweet on the palate before creamy juniper and a burst of citrus hit. The finish is complex with a smooth spice followed by lavender and woody cassia.
The perfect serve
Great served over ice with a premium tonic and a twist of orange peel. However, our favourite has to be as a G&G with ice, ginger ale and some lemon peel.
Meet the maker
Biggar Gin is a family business started by two brothers - Stuart and Euan. Both brothers moved away from Biggar for education and work but have slowly migrated back to the town to settle down. They combine tradition and innovation with a sense of place and their flagship product - Biggar Original Recipe Gin - was launched in April 2018.
